Sharla Denton

My name is Sharla Denton, and I am a Licensed professional counselor (LPC), in practice for 17 years. I work from my home office utilizing a secure telehealth platform. My work and leaning are through a trauma lens and how what someone has endured may be impacting them in the present. Individual strengths are incorporated into healing and growth. I utilize a combination of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Strength based, Psycho-education, and Person Focused approaches. Most importantly, it is what the client needs and chooses that drives the treatment approach and interventions.

I graduated from the University of Phoenix with a master's degree in Counseling, Salt Lake City, Utah, in 2005.
